empiriQa is a deep-tech spin-off of the quantum-optics lab at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń — commercialising more than twenty years of research into quantum-secure communication, and backed by the European Space Agency's business incubator.

The origin

Twenty years inside a university quantum-optics lab — the unglamorous decades of physics that mass-market security skips.

The bridge

Support from the European Space Agency's incubator carried that science across the gap between the bench and mission-critical deployment.

Today

One company with three integrated roles and an independent V&V centre — physics turned into fielded, certified systems.

Our work is eliminating the implementation flaws — the backdoors — that compromise quantum security in the real world. Where marketing hype ends, Technical Truth begins: we don't call anything secure until it's measured, tested and proven. And this is what we stand for.
